Tummy tuck’ – Abdominoplasty
A tummy tuck makes sense in the event of heavy weight loss or following a pregnancy that has left behind weakness in the abdominal wall and an enlarged dermal coat that cannot easily be corrected by liposuction. Depending on its individual character, the tummy tuck can be carried out as a mini-abdominoplasty, endoscopic abdominoplasty, classic abdominoplasty on its own, or in combination with liposuction or a breast uplift.
In order for the tummy tuck scars to be almost invisible, the incision is made at the border with the pubic hair and runs in a bowed shape to the pelvic bones. Before the abdominal wall can be pulled down and excess skin, fatty tissue and stretch marks removed, the navel often has to be separated and repositioned. This affords the possibility of a navel correction at the same time. Afterwards, the tightened skin is carefully stitched to leave the cleanest, smoothest possible scar which, following its full healing, should be almost unnoticeable
