Upper arm lift – Brachioplasty

An upper arm lift helps in cases where loose skin remains following ageing, massive weight reduction, partial slackening of the musculature and loss of elasticity. The upper arm lift should be performed when tightening of the skin cannot be achieved through liposuction or when too few fat deposits are available. Targeted liposuction of the adjacent flank area can also improve the body contours.

During an in-depth discussion, we can offer advice on the results achievable with an upper arm lift, with or without liposuction. Occasionally the lifting effect can be achieved through the tightening of individual special tendons under the skin. Excess skin is measured and marked with exactness on the insides of the upper arms before it is removed along with fatty tissue and the fascia lifted. Special incision and stitching techniques ensure that scars are barely noticeable
